UAC is the option where a program will ask permission before doing some that is potentially dangerous which may be too inconvenient for you. I personally do not suggest you turn it off.

This option is not available on Vista starter, Vista home basic, or Vista home premium.

• Navigate the Control Panel
• user accounts
• user accounts (again)
• turn user controls on or off
• check or clear "use User Access Control to help protect your computer"
• check the box to turn the option on
• clear the box to turn the option off
