updates: Mozilla, XP sp3, and Vista sp1
The attack against the epilepsy foundation causes seizures.
Vista service pack 1 and XP service pack 3 are both out again.
A laptop was stolen but cleverly recovered by its owner.
MOZILLA UPDATES
Both Thunderbird and Firefox has come out with a new version, 2.0.0.14, which fixes problems with crashes. If you are using version 1.5 then it is definitely time to update. Those versions are no longer being supported and have several unresolved vulnerabilities. Until a few months ago I held on to 1.5 but finally bit the bullet and I've had no regrets besides a cracked tooth.
I want to mention that Firefox 3 is getting ready to be released (June?) but it doesn't seem to be ready yet so stick with version 2 until you hear otherwise. I've found Firefox3 (beta 5) to be very slow, unresponsive, and very frustrating.
XP SERVICE PACK 3 AND VISTA SERVICE PACK 1
Both XP and Vista have significant updates, but they both seem to interfere with running software. While both were delayed because of these kinds of problems, people are still reporting them. In fact, Vista seems to completely deactivate all audio files. My stance will be to update at your risk until these hassles are ironed out.
